“No Deal on Kashmir, No Compromise on Water”: Field Marshal Asim Munir Reaffirms Pakistan’s Unwavering Stance
May 30, 2025Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir declares Kashmir a non-negotiable cause and water a red line for Pakistan, vowing that India’s suppression will never erase the Kashmir dispute.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, has sent a clear and unwavering message to India: “Pakistan will never leave Kashmir, and no compromise is possible on this core issue.”
Speaking to vice chancellors and senior educators from across the country in Rawalpindi, the Army Chief reaffirmed that Kashmir is a matter of Pakistan’s national conscience and strategic commitment, not a subject open for negotiation.
“India must know there will never be a deal on Kashmir. We cannot and will not forget Kashmir. And let it be clear—water is Pakistan’s red line. We will not let the fundamental rights of our 240 million citizens be violated,” he declared, as quoted by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
He slammed India’s long-standing attempts to suppress the Kashmir issue, saying such “nefarious designs have failed and will continue to fail.” He also emphasized that the Kashmir dispute has now gained unstoppable international traction, despite decades of Indian censorship and denial.
Field Marshal Munir also took aim at India’s internal failures, stating that rising terrorism and instability within India stem from the country’s deepening oppression and discrimination, particularly targeting minorities and Muslims.
On the domestic front, Munir praised teachers as the “greatest national asset”, crediting his own success to his parents and educators. He urged Pakistan’s academic leadership to instill patriotism and character in future generations, ensuring they understand Pakistan’s truth, purpose, and resilience.
“Allah has always helped Pakistan in the war of truth,” he said. “When a nation unites like an iron wall, no external force can bring it down.”
He called for a strong, transparent, and constitutionally governed state, emphasizing that all institutions must function for public welfare—free from political manipulation or personal gain. He warned that any narrative designed to weaken the state must be firmly rejected.
As the address concluded, participants enthusiastically raised slogans, proclaiming:
“This is a safe land—behind it stands the uniform.”
They pledged continued support for the armed forces, voicing pride in Pakistan’s military strength and unshakable national unity.
