TTK: India’s Fabricated Proxy to Derail the Kashmiri Freedom Struggle Will Ultimately Backfire

Just like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) failed to destabilize Pakistan from across the Afghan border, India’s new proxy—Tehreek-e-Taliban Kashmir (TTK)—is doomed to fail and will only expose its sinister intentions in IIOJK.

A shadowy group calling itself Tehreek-e-Taliban Kashmir (TTK) has recently emerged in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), claiming to advocate for an “independent Kashmir.” However, this outfit is not what it seems. TTK is a fabricated entity, believed to be created and operated by India’s intelligence agency RAW, with the purpose of misleading the international community and undermining the legitimate Kashmiri freedom movement.

Unlike genuine resistance efforts for self-determination, TTK carries a false narrative that masks a deeper, dangerous agenda. It aims to destabilize Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), divide Kashmiris, and stage false flag operations in IIOJK to blame Pakistan. These tactics are part of a broader psychological warfare strategy to distort the image of Pakistan and create confusion among Kashmiris.

Analysts have drawn parallels between TTK and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which operated from Afghanistan and failed in its mission to destabilize Pakistan. Similarly, TTK will not achieve the malicious goals its Indian planners envision. Just as TTP’s actions backfired and exposed foreign involvement, TTK will also burn the hands of those who created it.

The group’s so-called “independent” stance is a smokescreen. Behind it lies an attempt to cover up India’s ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK, such as arbitrary detentions, media censorship, and excessive use of force against civilians. Manufacturing fake organizations like TTK is India’s way of distracting global attention from these grave abuses.

By creating such proxies, India tries to frame Pakistan for unrest in IIOJK, thus whitewashing its own brutal tactics. These tactics also aim to fragment the Kashmiri cause, casting doubt on the unity of the people’s demand for their UN-mandated right to self-determination.

Kashmiris and Pakistanis must remain vigilant and united against these destabilization efforts. The exposure of TTK as a RAW-sponsored entity is not just important—it is essential to preserving the authenticity of the Kashmiri freedom movement. Every freedom-loving individual has a role to play in rejecting this false narrative and defending the region’s legitimate aspirations.

Despite India’s repeated attempts to manipulate narratives, its disinformation campaigns have been unraveling. The Modi regime’s use of groups like TTK will ultimately fail, just as TTP failed. Truth, resilience, and unity will always overpower deception and coercion.
