UP Chief Minister Targets Muslims Over Public Prayers and Sparks Huge Anger

The recent statement by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is a direct attack on Muslims. He openly demanded that Muslims must offer their prayers in shifts. He also defended the aggressive police action against people praying on roads. This is not about traffic control. This is a clear attempt to target one specific community and make them feel unsafe. The leader claimed that roads are only for transport. But his threatening tone shows his real motive. He warned that if people do not listen to love then other methods will be used. This open threat from a top official is dangerous and highly alarming.

The Clear Double Standard of the Government

The state government shows a massive double standard when it comes to religious events. Major Hindu festivals and processions like the Kanwar Yatra completely block national highways for weeks. The government spends public money to clear those roads and welcome the crowds. Traffic stops completely during those days. Yet the administration has no problem with that blockage. Banning Muslim prayers under the excuse of traffic management is total hypocrisy. The law must be equal for everyone. If one group can block roads for days then another group cannot be stopped from praying for a few minutes.

Using Religion to Hide Severe Failures

This sudden anger against public prayers is a trick to hide government failures. The state of Uttar Pradesh is facing a massive economic crisis. Prices of food and basic items are rising every single day. The government has failed to provide jobs and fix the economy. To stop people from asking real questions the politicians create a religious war. They want Hindus and Muslims to fight so that no one talks about poverty and bad governance.

The Indian Constitution gives every citizen the right to practice their religion freely. Article 25 clearly protects this freedom. By telling one community how and when to pray the Chief Minister is violating the highest law of the land. The state must remain neutral. It cannot favor one religion while treating another religion like a crime. When leaders openly break constitutional promises they destroy the justice system. The law is being used as a weapon against minorities. This approach is turning a democracy into a place of state harassment.

The Dangerous Spread of Hate and Fear
