He described the country as a guiding light for the oppressed people of Kashmir and the wider Muslim Ummah. According to him, Pakistan’s foundation on noble principles is a divine blessing for Muslims worldwide.
He emphasized that the people of Kashmir are making daily sacrifices to uphold these shared values. Butt reiterated that no external force can break the deep cultural, religious, and civilizational ties that bind Kashmiris and Pakistanis. Several APHC leaders and organizations, including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori, Advocate Arshad Iqbal, Mohammad Yusuf Naqash, Zamurda Habib, Fareeda Behanji, Yasmeen Raja, Imtiaz Reshi, and others, issued statements from Srinagar. They highlighted the significance of the historic Pakistan Resolution passed on March 23, 1940.
The leaders praised the resolution as a turning point in South Asian history, emphasizing how it inspired Muslims across the region. Under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the All India Muslim League, Muslims united to demand a separate homeland. Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter leaders, including Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Mahmood Ahmad Sagar, Syed Yusuf Naseem, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Shamim Shawl, and others, also congratulated the people, government, and armed forces of Pakistan. They described Pakistan as the heart of Kashmiri aspirations.
