Amid intensified military operations in IIOJK, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has sounded the alarm over growing human rights violations and systematic suppression by Indian forces.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed grave concern over the increasing arrests and harassment in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The group highlighted that these repressive actions have escalated following the launch of the controversial Operation Sindoor by Indian forces.

According to APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, the Indian government, under the BJP regime, is intensifying efforts to silence Kashmiri voices. He criticized Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s local administration for supporting these operations, which he said aim to force Kashmiris into submission.

Minhas pointed out the alarming rise in house raids, arbitrary detentions, and search operations across the region. He also condemned the use of drones and helicopters, describing the militarized environment as one that has transformed IIOJK into a war zone.

The APHC emphasized that the people of Kashmir remain resolute in their call for freedom and self-determination. Despite the ongoing pressure and intimidation, the Kashmiri population has consistently rejected New Delhi’s Hindutva ideology and continues to resist the suppression of their identity and rights.

The group reiterated its demand for the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A, which were revoked by the Indian government in August 2019. These constitutional provisions had previously granted Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) a special autonomous status, and their removal has been seen as a direct attack on the region’s political and cultural rights.

The APHC urged the international community, including the United Nations and influential global powers, to take immediate action. Minhas called on them not to remain silent spectators to India’s violations of international law in the region.

He also appealed to the International Court of Justice to intervene and halt what he described as ongoing war crimes in IIOJK. The APHC believes that a peaceful resolution of the conflict, in line with UN resolutions, is essential for lasting peace and regional stability.

According to the statement, India’s current policies, particularly those driven by a Hindutva agenda, have created a dire human rights situation. The political repression, demographic changes, and militarization of IIOJK threaten to destabilize not just the region, but potentially provoke broader tensions.

The APHC remains firm in its stance against Indian occupation and pledges to continue its peaceful struggle for freedom and justice. Despite India’s attempts to crush the movement, the spirit of resistance among Kashmiris remains unbroken.
