Congress Leader Accuses BJP of Politicizing Operation Sindoor Amid IIOJK’s Ongoing Crisis
June 4, 2025Amid growing public frustration in IIOJK, Congress leader Raman Bhalla has accused the BJP of using Operation Sindoor for political mileage, while basic needs of the people remain unmet.
Raman Bhalla, Working President of the Congress unit in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is exploiting Operation Sindoor for vote-bank politics rather than addressing the real issues of the people.
During his visit to the Nai Basti area in Jammu, Bhalla said that the BJP was using the operation as a tool to distract the public from its failures in governance.
Bhalla emphasized that the ground reality in IIOJK tells a different story. He pointed out that the locals in Nai Basti are dealing with poor infrastructure, water shortages, and a severe lack of basic amenities. These challenges have been ignored by the authorities, according to the Congress leader.
He urged the administration to prioritize the real issues affecting the public instead of focusing on politically motivated narratives.
Highlighting the widespread discontent, Bhalla stated that the IIOJK administration has failed to provide even the minimum level of relief to the people of IIOJK. He criticized the government for its inability to ensure regular water supply and uninterrupted electricity, especially during the summer months when the demand is high.
“Despite the installation of smart meters, the government has miserably failed to provide regular power supply,” Bhalla said, expressing concern over the rising frustration among residents who feel neglected and unheard.
The Congress leader’s comments come at a time when public dissatisfaction is growing in many parts of IIOJK due to mismanagement of basic services. Residents have repeatedly complained about long hours of power cuts, dry taps, and no visible action from the administration.
Bhalla’s remarks reflect broader criticism of the BJP-led government’s priorities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where political moves often take center stage while daily needs remain unaddressed.
