As tensions flare in South Asia, Kashmiri leaders rally behind Pakistan’s military response and urge international powers to step in and resolve the Kashmir conflict once and for all.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and other pro-freedom organizations have praised Pakistan’s prompt and decisive response to Indian aggression, commending the bravery and professionalism of its Armed Forces during Operation “Bunyan-un-Marsoos.”

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement from Srinagar, welcomed the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. He also appreciated U.S. President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate the long-standing Kashmir dispute, reiterating that Kashmir remains an unresolved international issue on the UN Security Council’s agenda—refuting India’s claim that it is an internal matter.

Minhas emphasized that the denial of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination lies at the core of the conflict. He stressed that lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through a free and fair plebiscite under United Nations supervision. Without this, he warned, the risk of nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan will persist.

Leaders of various pro-freedom organizations, including Yasmeen Raja of Khawateen Markaz, Imtiyaz Rishi of Jammu & Kashmir Young Men’s League, Fayyaz Hussain Jafari of Tehreek Wahdat-e-Islami, Syed Sibt Shabbir Qummi of Pirowan-e-Wilayat, and Hafsa Bano of Tehreek-e-Khawateen, echoed similar sentiments. They hailed the Pakistan Armed Forces for delivering a powerful response to Indian hostilities, asserting that the Indian military suffered significant losses under the operation.

These leaders urged the international community to hold the Modi-led Indian regime accountable for violating international law and escalating conflict in the region. They said the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir stand encouraged by the courage and discipline displayed by Pakistan’s forces.

Hurriyat leaders called on the United Nations to take immediate action to resolve the Kashmir issue in line with UN resolutions. They also urged the UN Human Rights Commission to send a team to occupied Kashmir to assess the deteriorating human rights situation. Describing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a threat to regional peace, they stressed the need for India to abandon its rigid stance and consider U.S. mediation in its own interest.

Meanwhile, several APHC-AJK leaders, including Advocate Parvaiz Shah, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Shamim Shawl, and others, praised Pakistan’s swift and decisive military actions. They said that the downing of Indian jets, drones, and defense systems marked a historic military achievement and a clear message to Hindutva forces.

Senior APHC-AJK leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani also hailed the courage and expertise of the Pakistan Air Force. He stated that the response to Indian aggression will be remembered as a pivotal moment in South Asian history and hoped the global community would now prioritize resolving the Kashmir dispute—the root cause of recurring conflict between two nuclear-armed neighbors.
