The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly rejected recent aggressive statements made by Indian political leaders, asserting that Jammu and Kashmir remains an internationally recognized disputed territory awaiting a final political resolution.

In a statement issued from Srinagar, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas dismissed remarks made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as unrealistic and reflective of frustration.

He emphasized that India is holding Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) through sheer military force, describing its campaign in the territory as a lost war. While India routinely blames Pakistan for terrorism, the spokesperson said, it continues to unleash state terrorism against the people of IIOJK, making daily life unbearable for Kashmiris.

Abdul Rashid Minhas further stated that Pakistan’s strong and timely defensive responses have unnerved the Indian leadership, compelling it to adopt aggressive rhetoric to distract from internal failures and policy setbacks.

Highlighting the BJP’s Hindutva-driven approach, the APHC spokesman warned that India’s unilateral actions and illegal occupation have created perpetual instability in South Asia, with a potential nuclear flashpoint continuing to endanger regional peace.

He urged the international community, including the UN Security Council, to hold India accountable and to facilitate the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions.

The spokesman also condemned the intensifying cordon-and-search operations, home raids, and arbitrary arrests of youth by Indian forces across the occupied territory. He appealed to the United Nations Human Rights Council and other global rights bodies to take serious notice of these human rights abuses.

Expressing deep appreciation for Pakistan’s continued moral, diplomatic, and political support, Minhas commended the recent statement by Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, reaffirming that a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue is essential for lasting strategic stability in South Asia.
