APHC Applaud Pakistan’s Response to Indian Aggression, Call for UN Immediate Action
May 12, 2025Pro-freedom voices from IIOJK have rallied behind Pakistan’s strong military response to India’s aggression, urging the international community to act before tensions spiral into a larger crisis.
Kashmiri resistance groups and political leaders from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have voiced strong support for Pakistan’s response to recent Indian military aggression. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and other pro-freedom organizations praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their professional and patriotic performance during Operation “Bunyan-un-Marsoos.”
In a statement from Srinagar, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas welcomed the India-Pakistan ceasefire and appreciated former US President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate on the Kashmir dispute. He emphasized that Kashmir remains on the UN Security Council’s agenda and is not an internal issue of India, despite New Delhi’s claims.
Minhas highlighted that the root of the conflict lies in India’s refusal to grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination. He stressed the need for a UN-supervised plebiscite to ensure lasting peace in the region. According to him, the risk of a nuclear conflict remains high unless the issue is resolved within its historical and international context.
Other Kashmiri leaders echoed this sentiment. Yasmeen Raja of Khawateen Markaz, Imtiyaz Rishi from the Jammu & Kashmir Young Men’s League, Fayyaz Hussain Jafari, Syed Sibt Shabbir Qummi, and Hafsa Bano all expressed admiration for the Pakistani military’s resolve and tactical strength.
They criticized the Hindutva-driven Modi regime for escalating conflict and violating international laws. These leaders called on the global community to hold India accountable for its actions and to intervene before violence intensifies further.
The leaders also applauded the swift and strategic strikes by Pakistan, including the downing of Indian jets and drones, as well as the destruction of key Indian military installations. They described this as a “historic military victory” that significantly countered Indian aggression.
Furthermore, these pro-freedom voices urged the United Nations Human Rights Commission to visit Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and assess the worsening human rights situation. They condemned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a threat to peace in South Asia and accused him of crimes against humanity.
They appealed to the Indian government to drop its stubborn stance and consider US mediation, which they believe could pave the way for peaceful conflict resolution. The leaders reaffirmed that any long-term solution must honor the will of the Kashmiri people through democratic means.
While the ceasefire brought temporary calm, Kashmiri leaders insist that international intervention is critical to resolve the Kashmir dispute, prevent further bloodshed, and ensure stability in the region.
