India’s Strategy in IIOJK Includes Demographic Crisis and Genocide: APHC

India’s demographic tactics and genocide in Jammu and Kashmir demand immediate global intervention to end the atrocities and restore justice.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has sounded the alarm over India’s relentless spree of extrajudicial killings and cordon-and-search operations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). These heinous acts, spearheaded by Indian forces, have plunged the region deeper into an abyss of fear and oppression.

Since the abrogation of Article 370, the BJP government has unleashed a sinister agenda. Under the guise of extending “black laws,” India is systematically altering the demography of IIOJK by settling outsiders in the region. This move is a blatant violation of international law, designed to erase Kashmiris’ identity and dilute their Muslim majority.

Abdul Rashid Minhas, APHC spokesman, condemned these acts in no uncertain terms. He accused India of auctioning off IIOJK to businessmen in a grotesque display of exploitation. This, he emphasized, directly contravenes United Nations resolutions that explicitly prohibit any changes to the region’s status quo.

The spokesman paid tribute to the victims of a staged encounter in Kulgam, denouncing the brutal killings as a tool of India’s Hindutva regime to suppress the Kashmiri people’s legitimate demand for a plebiscite. He lambasted India’s actions as egregious violations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Geneva Conventions, noting that political prisoners in IIOJK are treated worse than prisoners of war.

The APHC called on global powers, including the United Nations, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and European Union, to stand with the Kashmiri people in their fight for freedom. These bodies, he argued, must not turn a blind eye to India’s genocidal policies and fraudulent occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

India’s campaign in IIOJK is more than a political conflict; it is a calculated assault on human dignity. The ongoing genocide, coupled with gross human rights abuses, exposes the Hindutva regime’s disregard for international norms. The APHC urged the international community to act decisively, using diplomatic and economic pressure to force India to halt its atrocities.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir are fighting a just battle for their right to self-determination. Every life lost, every home raided, and every voice silenced is a stain on the world’s conscience. It is time for global bodies to rise to the occasion and demand justice for IIOJK.
