CM Soren Calls Out BJP’s ‘Double-Engine’ Policies as Harmful to Jharkhand’s Poor
November 11, 2024Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren recently delivered a sharp critique of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, accusing it of impoverishing Jharkhand and hindering its progress during its lengthy rule. Speaking at a public meeting in Chakradharpur, Soren claimed that under his leadership, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government is actively working to revive the state and steer it back toward growth and development.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Soren alleged that during its two-decade governance, the BJP failed to address the needs of Jharkhand’s marginalized communities. He questioned the lack of support for senior citizens, widows, and struggling farmers, highlighting that the BJP government did not implement critical welfare schemes such as old-age and widow pensions, electricity bill relief, or loan waivers for farmers.
Soren emphasized that his administration is committed to reversing the damage and prioritizing initiatives that support the state’s most vulnerable populations. He also underscored that such programs are essential for Jharkhand’s economic recovery and social equity, urging citizens to recognize these efforts as vital steps toward long-term progress and prosperity.
