In Telangana, social activist Syed Qudubuddin Masood discovered that his name, along with those of ten family members, had been inexplicably removed from the voters’ list in Hyderabad’s Bahadurpura area. Masood, a long-time resident and consistent voter for nearly forty years, described the deletions as “illegal” and demanded a clear explanation from election officials. A similar situation unfolded in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, where the entire Muslim population of Meera Nagar in Mahmudabad village found their names missing from the voter list. In Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district, approximately 700 fishermen, predominantly Muslims, also discovered their names had been removed from the electoral rolls.
