Operation Mahadev or Operation Maha Jhoot? India’s Fake Encounter Exposed in IIOJK

The recent killing of three Kashmiri youth in Dachigam, under the label of “Operation Mahadev,” once again highlights the Indian government’s increasing reliance on media spectacles rather than credible intelligence. Instead of focusing on facts, the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government continues to weaponize state power for narrative control. These incidents are not isolated mistakes; they are part of a growing state policy where violence is used as a tool to generate headlines. The repeated use of force without accountability undermines the core principles of democracy and law.

Blaming Without Proof: A Habit, Not an Error

In the aftermath of the Pahalgam incident, India immediately blamed Pakistan without conducting any investigation or gathering evidence. Within hours, four Kashmiri youth were labeled terrorists, their homes demolished, and their families publicly humiliated. This approach reflects a deeply embedded culture of presumption, prejudice, and propaganda. The absence of any judicial process shows that these accusations are more politically motivated than driven by genuine national security concerns.

From NIA to Narrative Engineering

Days after the initial accusations, the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) retracted its claims and admitted there was no evidence against the original accused. However, rather than seeking the truth, the government shifted the blame to three new individuals allegedly linked to Azad Jammu and Kashmir, resuming its cycle of accusations. This deliberate shifting of the narrative reveals how the state manipulates institutions for political gain. Changing stories under public pressure exposes a fragile, not a functioning, security apparatus.

Fiction, Forced Confessions, and Torture

The narrative took another turn with a fabricated story about a Chinese satellite phone being used by “militants,” which quietly disappeared when no evidence was found. Two shepherds, Gulzar Ahmad and Bashir Lone, were tortured into giving forced confessions about assisting alleged infiltrators. Such acts of coercion not only violate basic human rights but also raise serious concerns about the use of torture as a tool of propaganda. Manufacturing confessions through brutality is neither justice nor evidence; it is an abuse of power.

Dachigam: A Bloody Distraction, Not a Victory

While Parliament debated the failures of Operation Sandur, Indian forces launched Operation Mahadev and claimed to have killed three “terrorists” in Dachigam. However, no names were confirmed, no evidence shared, just bodies and an instant accusation against Pakistan. This operation seems more like political theatre, staged to deflect attention from internal criticism. Using dead bodies to cover up policy failures is a disgrace to governance and accountability.

Turning Bodies Into Headlines

India’s history of turning violence into political capital is long and well-documented. From Pulwama to Balakot, optics have taken precedence over truth. These manufactured narratives may please domestic voters, but they collapse under global scrutiny. India’s credibility diminishes every time it fails to back its claims with evidence. Lies may generate applause, but they cannot withstand the test of truth.

A War on Truth, Not Terror

India’s internal conflict is no longer against terrorism; it is a war against truth, dissent, and journalism. Those who ask questions are labeled traitors, and those who speak the truth are considered threats. This anti-democratic culture is silencing legitimate voices and pushing India further into authoritarianism. When the state fears questions more than attacks, it becomes clear who the real enemy is.

Pakistan’s Position: Firm and Clear

Despite repeated provocations, Pakistan has responded with responsibility and diplomatic maturity. Our message remains clear: we seek peace, but we will defend our sovereignty without compromise. Pakistan has countered aggression not only on the battlefield but also in the court of international opinion. India’s repeated attempts to frame Pakistan without evidence only damage its own global image.

The World Must Hold India Accountable

The international community can no longer turn a blind eye as India uses fake encounters to justify its illegal occupation. Every extrajudicial killing, every bulldozed home, and every tortured confession is a crime against humanity. Silence from global powers only encourages more abuse and further bloodshed. If the world truly stands for justice, it must hold India accountable for its actions in IIOJK.

Operation Mahadev is Operation Maha Jhoot

Operation Mahadev is not a national security success; it is a political cover-up dressed as a military operation. This is not a war on terror; it is a war on justice and truth. The Modi government is not defending India; it is defending its narrative through lies, violence, and media control. If there is one clear message, it is this: in IIOJK, the enemy is not across the border; the enemy is the truth India cannot face.
