Posters Flood IIOJK Paying Tribute to Burhan Wani on 9th Martyrdom Anniversary
July 8, 2025 Off By Sharp MediaOn the 9th anniversary of Burhan Wani’s martyrdom, powerful posters honoring his legacy have emerged across Kashmir, echoing a renewed call for resistance and remembrance.
As Kashmir observes the 9th martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, pro-freedom posters have reappeared across several districts of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). These posters, spotted in Srinagar, Pulwama, Bandipora, Ganderbal, and surrounding areas, pay glowing tributes to Burhan and other Kashmiri martyrs, urging the public to honor their sacrifices and continue their mission.
The posters, put up by various pro-freedom parties, encourage Kashmiris to remember Burhan Wani and express solidarity with the families of the martyrs. They emphasize that these brave souls laid down their lives not in vain, but for a sacred cause—the freedom of their homeland from Indian occupation.
“The blood of martyrs like Shaheed Burhan Wani will never go in vain,” the posters declare. “It is our collective duty to carry their mission forward until freedom is achieved.”
A key theme echoed in the posters is the rejection of Hindutva-driven policies by the Modi-led Indian government. They urge the people of IIOJK to stand united and foil all attempts by the regime to change the region’s demographic and cultural identity through occupation and suppression.
The message is loud and clear: Burhan Wani’s mission lives on—not only in the hearts of his fellow Kashmiris but also in the resilient resistance to India’s oppressive actions.
The posters also underline the Kashmir dispute as the primary barrier to long-term peace and political stability in South Asia. They call upon the United Nations to fulfill its responsibility and take concrete steps for the peaceful and just resolution of the decades-old conflict, in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
In addition to physical spaces, these posters have found a new battleground online, circulating widely on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Supporters of the Kashmiri freedom movement are using hashtags like #BurhanWani, #SymbolOfResistance, and #ProtectKashmirCulture to amplify the message globally.
