The international community’s indifference perpetuates IIOJK’s suffering. Without Right to Self-Determination, South Asia will remain on the brink of conflict, and the UN’s failure will cast a long shadow over global peace.

The leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) reaffirm their relentless fight for self-determination. They urge the United Nations to fulfill its duty by implementing the pivotal 5th January 1949 resolution.

The UN Security Council passed this resolution, affirming Kashmiris’ right to decide their fate through a plebiscite. This date is observed as Self-Determination Day, symbolizing their unbroken defiance against Indian aggression.

APHC Chairman Masarat Alam Butt, from Tihar Jail, calls for global protests to mark the occasion. He insists that Kashmiris will not compromise on their right to self-determination, regardless of India’s oppressive measures.

He condemns India’s obstinate refusal to resolve the dispute, holding it accountable for violating international agreements. He demands the UN take action against India’s expansionist ambitions, which continue to stifle peace in the region.

APHC leaders in Srinagar, including Syed Bashir Andrabi and Khawaja Firdous, demand the international community resolve the Kashmir conflict to ensure South Asian stability. They stress that peace hinges on Kashmiris’ right to determine their political destiny.

They highlight India’s unwillingness to implement the 1949 resolution as a glaring failure of global institutions. The leaders warn that without immediate intervention, the region will remain volatile, posing risks to broader international peace.

Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui describes the UN resolution as the cornerstone of resolving the Kashmir dispute. He underscores the UN’s repeated failures to implement its own resolutions, prolonging the agony of Kashmiri people for decades.

The UN’s inaction, he argues, undermines its credibility and exposes its impotence. For meaningful peace, the UN must enforce its pledges, ending the unrelenting humanitarian crisis in Kashmir.

Hurriyat leader Zamrooda Habib calls on the UN Security Council to address the ongoing suffering of Kashmiris. She emphasizes the urgency of implementing the resolutions, as India’s brutality intensifies and Kashmiri voices are silenced.

Farida Behenji criticizes India’s relentless oppression, urging Kashmiris worldwide to amplify their struggle. She denounces the global silence that emboldens India to continue its suppression unchecked.

Dr. Musaib reiterates that peace remains a distant dream without a UN-supervised referendum. He warns that ignoring Kashmir’s plight will only deepen regional instability.

The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) condemns India’s demographic manipulations, designed to erase Kashmir’s Muslim majority. They urge the UN to act decisively to halt India’s state terrorism and end its illegal occupation.

The Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami vows to resist until self-determination is achieved. They reaffirm that India’s atrocities have failed to diminish the resilience of Kashmiris.
