PM AJK Vows Firm Support for Kashmir’s Freedom Struggle
February 18, 2025The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has reaffirmed his commitment to the Kashmir freedom movement, emphasizing the deep-rooted connection with Pakistan and a resolute stance against Indian oppression.
In a powerful statement, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), reiterated that the relationship between Azad Kashmir and Pakistan is built on faith and shared identity, emphasizing that the people of AJK consider themselves “born Pakistanis.” In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, the Prime Minister reflected on the longstanding bond between the two regions, highlighting the steadfast support of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and its people in the Kashmir’s freedom movement.
Prime Minister Haq made it clear that this support is not just political or diplomatic; it is a commitment to sacrifice everything—including life and blood—for Pakistan and the Kashmir cause. He expressed that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir stand by Pakistan in every sense and that their resolve to protect the rights of Kashmiris is unbreakable.
He stressed that while the world may offer political, diplomatic, and moral support for the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), it is essential to go beyond these measures. The Prime Minister took a firm stance, stating that the ongoing brutalities of India against Kashmiris must be confronted in a more aggressive manner if necessary. Referring to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which affirms the right to self-defense, he underscored that if the situation requires a defensive or aggressive response to protect the Kashmiris, the people of Azad Kashmir would not hesitate to take that path.
The Prime Minister also made a bold statement regarding India’s role in the conflict, asserting that Hindus and Jews can never be true friends of Muslims, a remark aimed at questioning India’s policies toward Muslims in both Kashmir and beyond. He further warned that the youth of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, inspired by their love for their Kashmiri brethren, would not be deterred from crossing the Line of Control to protect the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), especially the women and children facing daily oppression.
Prime Minister Haq’s statements reflect the deep commitment of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to the Kashmiri cause and the unbreakable bond with Pakistan. His call for a more proactive stance against Indian oppression in the region reflects the ongoing urgency of the Kashmir issue and the desire to bring an end to the suffering of the Kashmiri people.
