Pakistan marks ‘Youm-e-Tashakur’ in a show of unity, gratitude, and pride over its strong defence response and the success of Operation Bunyan Marsoos against Indian aggression.

Pakistan is observing ‘Youm-e-Tashakur’ (Day of Gratitude) today to mark the country’s strong and effective response to Indian aggression and to commemorate the success of Operation Bunyan Marsoos. This national day is being observed on the appeal of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the aim of thanking Allah Almighty, honoring the bravery of the armed forces, and celebrating the unity of the nation.

In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Media Wing emphasized that Operation Bunyan Marsoos delivered a resolute and fitting reply to enemy aggression. Prime Minister Sharif stated that Pakistan’s armed forces demonstrated superior preparedness and resilience in the face of India’s hostile actions, reinforcing the country’s defensive strength on every front.

Despite India’s provocations, the Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan maintained a mature and composed response, showing the world its capability to defend itself while maintaining peace and stability.

The Prime Minister has urged the public and religious scholars across the nation to join in collective prayers and nawafils as a gesture of deep gratitude to Allah. He encouraged everyone to thank the Almighty for protecting the country and for the courage shown by Pakistan’s defenders.

Special prayers are also being held nationwide for the martyrs and Ghazis (war veterans), whose sacrifices form the backbone of Pakistan’s defence and sovereignty. PM Shehbaz Sharif stressed that the nation will never forget their immense contributions and continues to stand firmly with them and their families.

The observance of Youm-e-Tashakur comes at a time when national morale and unity are being widely praised. From the armed forces to the common citizens, every segment of society played a role in responding to the crisis with courage and conviction.

This day serves not just as a celebration of military success, but also as a powerful reminder of the strength derived from unity, faith, and discipline — the founding principles of Pakistan. It reaffirms the country’s resolve to protect its sovereignty and honor the sacrifices of those who have laid down their lives for it.
