When unexplained deaths shake a community, the demand for answers becomes urgent — who is behind the toxic trail in Rajouri?

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), lawmakers have urged a high-level investigation into the recent mysterious deaths reported in Budhal, Rajouri. The demand was made during the Assembly session on Wednesday, where multiple legislators called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe to expose the hidden elements responsible.

Raising the issue during Question Hour, MLA Budhal Javed Iqbal Choudhary expressed serious concern over the unexplained fatalities in his constituency. He revealed that tests conducted by the authorities detected various toxins in samples collected from the area.

“Different toxins have been identified. It feels like they were poisoned with an entire truckload of harmful substances,” Choudhary remarked. He suggested that these deaths were not isolated incidents but part of a wider conspiracy. Connecting the dots, he referred to similar disturbing events in Kulgam and Kathua, implying a deliberate attempt to destabilize the region’s peace.

Supporting this demand, MLA Surankote Choudhary Muhammad Akram echoed the call for a CBI-led inquiry, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in uncovering the root cause of these deaths.

CPI-M MLA Muhammad Yosouf Tarigami also voiced his deep concern. He stressed the importance of exposing the “invisible hands” behind the tragedy. “It’s ironic that the cause of these deaths still remains unknown. What unfolded in Budhal today could easily happen elsewhere tomorrow,” Tarigami warned.

The lawmakers collectively urged the government to take the issue seriously and ensure a comprehensive investigation to restore public confidence and maintain stability in the area.
