FOREIGN STUDENTS ATTACKED IN INDIA

Several international students (from Africa, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan etc) studying in Gujarat University have been attacked by Hindu mob for offering tarawin prayers during Ramadan in University hostel.Hindu mob armed with sticks & knives pelted stones & vandalized hostel properties where students were residing.

300 foreign students – many from Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and African countries – study at the university. Reports say the injured students were in India with scholarships from the federal government-backed Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
