When oppression becomes a daily reality, will the world remain silent, or will justice finally prevail for Kashmir?

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has voiced profound concern over the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). These include cordon-and-search operations, house raids, illegal detentions, and property seizures carried out by Indian forces.

Speaking in Srinagar, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas rejected India’s claims of Jammu and Kashmir being its “integral part,” reiterating that the region remains an internationally recognized disputed territory. Since 1947, India has employed military force and black laws to suppress the Kashmiri people’s aspirations for freedom, yet it has failed to break their resolve, Minhas stated.

The spokesman highlighted the Kashmiri people’s enduring resistance to atrocities and illegal occupation, underscoring their steadfast commitment to their sacred cause of freedom. He emphasized that the people of IIOJK have made unparalleled sacrifices for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute, and military oppression can never achieve peace in the region.

Minhas reiterated that Kashmir is a political issue that requires political solutions. He urged the international community, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the European Union, to recognize and address the grave injustices faced by Kashmiris.

The APHC also called for the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions on Kashmir, stressing that resolving this dispute is essential for global peace and stability. The spokesman expressed hope that the international community would fulfill its obligations and commitments to end the prolonged suffering of the Kashmiri people.

This appeal serves as a stark reminder of the need for global intervention to address systematic atrocities and ensure justice for the people of IIOJK.
