APHC Condemns Indian Atrocities in IIOJ&K, Affirms Resolve for Freedom
March 30, 2024The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has reiterated its stance against India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir, expressing a firm belief that the day of liberation for the occupied territory is imminent. In a statement issued by APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in Srinagar, concerns were raised over the escalating atrocities and injustices in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), condemning the continued illegal detention of Hurriyet leadership, youth, and activists.
The APHC highlighted the plight of political detainees, including prominent figures such as Massarat Alam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, and Aasiya Andrabi, among many others, who are languishing in jails across India and the occupied territory. The statement underscored the persistent crackdown on dissent, with arrests and house raids aimed at stifling Kashmiris’ aspirations for freedom.
Despite these challenges, the APHC reaffirmed the unwavering determination of the Kashmiri people to continue their struggle for liberation until complete success is achieved. The spokesman emphasized that the Kashmir conflict remains an internationally recognized dispute, with United Nations resolutions affirming the right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir.
Calling upon the international community to intervene and address the Kashmir dispute, the APHC appealed for a thorough investigation into the war crimes committed by Indian forces in IIOJK. The statement urged for accountability measures to be taken against those responsible for human rights violations in the region.
The APHC’s declaration reflects the resilience and steadfastness of Kashmiris in the face of adversity. Despite enduring decades of oppression and violence, the Kashmiri people remain undeterred in their pursuit of justice and freedom. The statement serves as a reminder to the world community of the urgent need to address the Kashmir issue and uphold the principles of human rights and self-determination.
As the APHC continues to advocate for the rights of Kashmiris, it underscores the importance of international solidarity and support in achieving a peaceful resolution to the longstanding conflict in the region. The statement signals a call to action for global leaders and organizations to prioritize the plight of Kashmiris and work towards a just and lasting solution that respects their aspirations and rights.
