Diaspora’s Advocacy for Kashmir Cause Lauded by APHC Leaders

Leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Azad Kashmir chapter have commended the relentless efforts of the diaspora in raising global awareness about the Kashmir cause. Addressing a gathering organized by APHC-AJK at Kashmir House Islamabad, these leaders underscored the pivotal role of the diaspora in advocating for a peaceful resolution to the longstanding Kashmir dispute.

Chaired by APHC-AJK convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, the event emphasized the necessity of unity among the Kashmiri diaspora and the residents of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Speakers highlighted the urgent need for a unified agenda to address the Kashmir dispute and recognize the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people.

The ongoing military siege and the prolonged detention of thousands, including top Hurriyat leaders, journalists, scholars, youth, and human rights activists, were condemned by the speakers. They called for a new strategy to mobilize global support and sympathy for the oppressed Kashmiri people.

The proposed framework aims to expose Indian state terrorism, its hegemonic designs, and the anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim agendas of the BJP. It also seeks to promote a peaceful resolution, ensure accountability for human rights violations, and support the well-being and dignity of the Kashmiri people.

Speakers at the event included prominent figures such as Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Ghalib Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, Raja Najbat Hussain, Raja Faheem Kayani, Zafar Qureshi, Sardar Zulfiqar, and Muzammil Thakur. They urged the international community, including the UN, OIC, and EU, to break their silence and support a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute.
