Vandalism of Mosque and Assault on Muslims in India
July 18, 2024In a distressing event, Hindutva extremists vandalized a mosque and attacked Muslim properties in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur district.
The Raza Jamia Masjid was demolished, and copies of the Holy Quran were burned during the attack. Surrounding homes and shops were also targeted, leaving over 40 Muslims injured.
Local Muslims protested the violence, with Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, condemning the attack and demanding strict action against the perpetrators.
