State Terrorism in IIOJK: Indian Troops Martyred Two More Youths in IIOJK
February 6, 2025How long can the people of IIOJK endure Indian state-sponsored violence in the name of security?
Indian troops recently carried out violent acts of state terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), killing two Kashmiri youths. These incidents highlight the ongoing human rights violations in the region.
In one case, a truck driver was killed during a violent cordon and search operation in the Sangrama Chowk area of Baramulla district. Indian troops fired on the truck he was driving, which was fully loaded, on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway. The truck was then sent to the nearest police station, but the driver was tragically martyred.
In a separate incident, Indian troops, alongside Special Operation Group personnel, arrested a youth named Makhan Din in Kathua district. After detaining him, they killed him in custody, labeling him a supporter of the ongoing freedom movement in IIOJK. These acts demonstrate the continued brutality and disregard for human rights in IIOJK.
The systematic killings and arbitrary detentions have fueled further resentment and anger among the Kashmiri population, whose calls for justice continue to be ignored by the Indian government. The region remains a hotspot for violence, where innocent lives are lost under the guise of counterinsurgency operations.
