PHC-AJK Leader Rejects BJP-backed Panel and JKDF, Reaffirms Jamaat-e-Islami’s Stand in IIOJK
February 28, 2025In a firm statement, Ghulam Muhammad Safi of APHC-AJK rejects the BJP-backed Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front, emphasizing Jamaat-e-Islami’s commitment to the Kashmir freedom movement.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi, the Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, has strongly condemned the recently formed Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) and the panel backed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In his statement from Islamabad, Safi made it clear that Jamaat-e-Islami, a prominent political and religious group in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), has no connection with these entities.
Safi emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami has entirely distanced itself from the BJP-supported panel, underlining the party’s steadfast commitment to its core principles and its unwavering dedication to the Kashmir cause. He clarified that Jamaat-e-Islami has no involvement, either directly or indirectly, in the activities, decisions, or political pursuits of the newly formed JKDF and the panel aligned with the BJP.
The APHC-AJK leader warned the people of IIOJK to be cautious of divisive tactics and political maneuvers aimed at misleading and weakening the resistance movement. He argued that these political strategies are part of India’s broader efforts to create confusion and derail the ongoing struggle for Kashmir’s self-determination.
Safi further stressed the importance of unity among Kashmiris, urging the people of Jammu and Kashmir to stay resolute in their pursuit of freedom from Indian occupation. He called on them to reject attempts to divide their cause and remain committed to their legitimate right to self-determination.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi’s statement reinforces the commitment of Jamaat-e-Islami to the Kashmir freedom movement and warns against distractions that might undermine the struggle for independence. His call for unity and vigilance serves as a reminder of the broader political game at play in the region, urging Kashmiris to stay focused on their long-standing goal of liberation.
