Pakistan Claims Indian State Terrorism in IIOJK and Overseas
October 1, 2024Pakistan has firmly rejected India’s assertions of being a terrorism victim. Diplomat Muhammad Faheem argued that India is engaged in state-sponsored terrorism, particularly in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and internationally.
Faheem’s comments were a direct response to Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who accused Pakistan of fostering terrorism. He stressed that India’s military operations in IIOJK represent a blatant form of state terrorism.
Furthermore, Faheem highlighted that Indian leadership has openly acknowledged their involvement in extrajudicial killings abroad. He cited instances involving Indian actions in countries like Canada and the United States.
According to Faheem, these admissions reveal a troubling reality about India’s global role. He emphasized that such behavior cannot be ignored and should have consequences under international law.
Pakistan has urged the international community to hold India accountable for its actions. Faheem underscored that India’s tactics are designed to destabilize Pakistan, particularly through economic sabotage.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been a specific target of Indian interference. Faheem claimed that India supports terrorist groups to undermine this crucial infrastructure project, jeopardizing regional stability.
In light of these allegations, Pakistan has called for a thorough investigation into India’s actions. Faheem reiterated that India’s state-sponsored terrorism must be addressed at international forums.
To conclude, he argued that allowing India to continue these practices would send a dangerous message. The global community, he suggested, has a responsibility to confront state-sponsored terrorism wherever it occurs.
