Omar Abdullah, Vice President of the National Conference, has condemned the actions of authorities in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) following recent attacks in the Jammu region. In a post on X, Abdullah criticized the administration’s approach of arresting and harassing common people, calling it a sign of incompetence.

Abdullah expressed his frustration by stating, “This incompetent IIOJK administration only knows how to arrest, detain & harass people.” He highlighted the repetitive nature of these actions and criticized the authorities for expecting different outcomes despite repeating the same mistakes.

Using a metaphor to emphasize his point, Abdullah added, “If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” He argued that such harsh policies are counterproductive, as they alienate the local population and increase their anger towards the authorities.

Abdullah’s comments highlight a broader criticism of the administration’s handling of security and public order in the region. By focusing on punitive measures rather than addressing underlying issues, the authorities risk exacerbating tensions and undermining efforts to foster peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
