OIC Calls for Reversal of India’s Actions in Jammu and Kashmir

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has urged respect for the internationally recognized status of Jammu and Kashmir, calling for the reversal of all illegal and unilateral measures India imposed on the region since August 5, 2019. This statement was issued by the OIC General Secretariat on the fifth anniversary of India’s revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.

The OIC reiterated its commitment to the decisions made during its summit and the resolutions passed by the Council of Foreign Ministers concerning Jammu and Kashmir. The organization expressed full solidarity with the Kashmiri people, supporting their struggle for the right to self-determination.

The OIC also called on the international community to intensify efforts toward resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions. Additionally, the OIC announced a meeting to be held today to discuss the ongoing volatile situations in both Palestine and occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
