The Assembly of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) witnessed heated protests as Mian Altaf Ahmed of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (J&KNC) condemned the ongoing killings and mass arrests of innocent civilians by Indian forces. His hard-hitting speech reflected the anger and frustration of the oppressed people of IIOJK, who have endured decades of state-sponsored violence under Indian occupation.

Ahmed highlighted the tragic killing of Parvez, a 20-year-old youth from the Gujjar community, shot dead in broad daylight by Indian police. He warned that when a young man is killed without any reason and the killers walk free, the law itself loses its meaning. He urged the Indian Home Minister to take immediate action against those responsible, warning that failure to ensure justice will further erode public trust in the system.

State Brutality and Public Outrage

The incident is another example of the unchecked power of Indian forces in IIOJK, where innocent lives are taken without accountability. Families mourn their young sons, while New Delhi hides these crimes behind propaganda. Ahmed reminded the Assembly that justice delayed or denied will only fuel more anger among the already oppressed population.

Analysts in Srinagar argue that the Modi regime has allowed its forces to act with complete impunity, turning IIOJK into a region ruled by fear rather than law. Each killing of an unarmed youth is a new reminder of the failure of Indian democracy in the occupied territory.

Operation Sindoor and the Web of False Cases

Ahmed also raised the issue of arbitrary arrests following Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam attack, stressing that innocent detainees must be released. He warned that wrongful arrests and fake cases only deepen resentment and strengthen the freedom struggle.

Political observers note that India’s security operations have become more about propaganda than security. Fake encounters, planted evidence, and staged victories have become the signature tactics of the Modi regime in IIOJK. By blaming Pakistan for every failure and labeling locals as “terrorists,” India tries to distract the world from its own failures and human rights abuses.

Occupation Cannot Break the Will of the Oppressed

The uproar in the Assembly mirrors the growing rejection of Indian rule in IIOJK. Despite killings, mass detentions, and staged operations, the people remain determined to resist occupation. Every martyr’s coffin and every protest in the Assembly exposes the weakness of the occupier.

A state that relies on bullets instead of justice cannot win legitimacy. History has proven that no occupation lasts forever, and the voice of the oppressed will ultimately rise above the machinery of repression.

The Modi government can try to bury the truth with propaganda, but every grave in IIOJK tells the world a story of injustice and resistance. State brutality cannot erase the right to self-determination, and India will ultimately be held accountable for its crimes.
