
Massive Gatherings in AJK Mark Pakistan Day, Reaffirm Solidarity with IIOJK
March 24, 2025On Pakistan Day, people across Azad Jammu and Kashmir rallied in unity, sending a powerful message of unwavering support for the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Hundreds of people gathered in Kohala on March 23 to commemorate Pakistan Day and express steadfast solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The event drew significant attention, highlighting the unbreakable bond between Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and the Kashmiri freedom movement.
The celebrations included a public meeting and a symbolic human chain, formed by participants to visually represent unity and collective resolve. This display of solidarity aimed to show unwavering support for Kashmir’s legitimate struggle for self-determination.
A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Pak Wall Kohala, located at the historic Kohala Bridge. This newly established landmark stands as a symbol of unity, national pride, and a shared vision for peace and freedom in the region.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Brigadier Waqar from the 12th Infantry Division. Distinguished personalities including Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan and Sardar Hassan Ibrahim Khan graced the occasion as guests of honor. Representatives from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, such as Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Shameem Shawl, Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Zahid Ashraf, Raja Shaheen, Manzoor Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Shafi Dar, and Mushtaq Ahmed, were also in attendance.
The event commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and AJK. This solemn moment fostered a deep sense of patriotism and solidarity, echoing the long-standing connection between the people of Pakistan and Kashmir.
The inauguration of the Pak Wall Kohala is expected to serve as a beacon of unity and patriotism for future generations, symbolizing the resilience and determination shared across the region.
In parallel, a large-scale rally organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir also marked Pakistan Day. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation, with demonstrators waving the flags of Pakistan and Kashmir as they marched along the main roads of the city.
Prominent figures leading the rally included Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Hurriyat leader Abdul Majeed Mir, and Pakistan People’s Party leaders Shaukat Javed Mir, Usman Ali Hashim, among others.
Speakers at the event paid glowing tributes to the founding fathers of Pakistan, the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during Pakistan’s creation, and the martyrs of Kashmir. They emphasized the inspiring leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal, which laid the groundwork for the establishment of Pakistan.
The speakers highlighted the sacrifices of millions of Muslims during the creation of Pakistan, with countless families displaced and forced to migrate. They reiterated that a strong, stable, and prosperous Pakistan remains essential for the eventual freedom of IIOJK.
The event concluded with a firm message: Pakistan’s political, diplomatic, and moral support is indispensable for the Kashmiri people’s ongoing freedom struggle.
