Hundreds of people gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to protest the ongoing conflict in Palestine and express solidarity with the Palestinian people. Organized by civil rights organizations, student collectives, and various political factions, the demonstration aimed to denounce what they termed the “genocidal war” in the region and demand an end to Israeli aggression.

The protest saw participation from prominent figures such as CPI-M general secretary Sitaram Yechury and Delhi Deputy Mayor Aaley Mohammad Iqbal. Both leaders criticized the Indian government’s support for Israel and called for increased international pressure to halt the offensive. In their speeches, they highlighted the need for global intervention to protect Palestinian rights and end the violence.

Participants in the protest chanted slogans and held placards and Palestinian flags, vehemently expressing their opposition to the Israeli occupation and advocating for Palestinian liberation. The atmosphere was charged with calls for justice and an end to the conflict.

This demonstration in New Delhi was part of a broader, global movement, with similar protests taking place in the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world. Organizers of the New Delhi protest vowed to continue their efforts until there is a resolution to the conflict and what they describe as a genocide against Palestinians by Israel comes to an end.

The global wave of protests highlights the widespread concern and solidarity with the Palestinian cause. As these movements gain momentum, the call for international action to address the conflict and support for Palestinian rights continues to grow.
