JI in IIOJK has Played a Historic Role in Keeping the Kashmir Issue Alive: Ghulam Mohammad Safi
July 30, 2024In a statement, the convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, said that thousands of people associated with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have kept the flame of freedom alive by sacrificing their lives, resulting in the JI becoming a target of Indian oppression.
According to reports, the imprisoned leaders of JI are being forced at gunpoint to change their historic stance, which is extremely concerning and regrettable.
The APHC convener appealed to the leaders of JI not to make any decisions that would damage the credibility of the party, increase internal discord, or justify the constitutional terrorism actions of the Modi government in August 2019, thereby sending a message of despair to the oppressed yet determined nation of Kashmir.
He said that the history of the world is witness that determined movements and nations eventually free themselves from foreign colonial dominance. Recently, Afghanistan and Palestine have revived this historical fact that it is not the power of weapons but the power of faith that prevails.
Despite adverse conditions in Gaza and Palestine, the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Mujahideen have resulted in the moral and diplomatic defeat of Israeli colonialism, and thus the defeat of Indian colonialism in the occupied state is also written on the wall. At this time, demonstrating unity and perseverance can force India to retreat. Our slightest negligence can provide an opportunity to strengthen the Indian occupation.
He said that to counter Modi’s actions, the Government of Pakistan should support the legitimate struggle for self-determination of Kashmiris without any weakness and convince the international community of the legitimacy of the ongoing struggle at every level in Kashmir, so that despair and mistrust among the resistance circles are eliminated and India does not get the opportunity to advance its agenda.
