Jailed Engineer Rasheed Vows to Represent Kashmiris’ Aspirations on His Victory

Jailed Kashmiri politician Engineer Abdul Rasheed, who won the Baramulla Constituency with a significant margin, has called his victory a “People’s Victory” and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the masses for their overwhelming support.

During a meeting with his lawyer at Tihar Jail in New Delhi, Rasheed assured the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir that he would continue to represent their interests, which have long been neglected. Rasheed warned against those seeking power without regard for its cost to the people and stressed the necessity for unity among Kashmiris to achieve their aspirations. Additionally, he has submitted an application for bail in a Delhi court.
