India’s Tyranny in IIOJK: The Truth behind the Suppression
November 23, 2024In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has condemned the brutal crackdown by Indian military and police forces on pro-freedom leaders and activists.
Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, APHC spokesman, denounced these oppressive actions in a statement from Srinagar. He accused India of silencing voices advocating for the right to self-determination guaranteed under United Nations resolutions.
Minhas highlighted India’s systematic erosion of political freedoms and civil liberties in IIOJK. These acts expose the false narrative of “normalcy” propagated by New Delhi to the international community.
The APHC strongly criticized the BJP-led Hindutva government, accusing it of altering IIOJK’s demographic structure. The deliberate settlement of non-locals aims to reduce the Muslim majority to a minority.
Minhas emphasized that India’s issuance of domicile certificates to outsiders lacks transparency, raising alarms among locals and intensifying fears of demographic manipulation. This policy directly undermines the UN’s Kashmir resolutions.
The statement condemned the denial of basic rights, including freedom of expression, and the continuous strangulation of political space in the occupied region. These oppressive measures aim to crush the spirit of Kashmir’s resistance.
The APHC has called on the United Nations Secretary-General to act against India’s blatant violations of international law. It urged the global body to ensure India resolves the Kashmir dispute as per UN Security Council resolutions.
Despite New Delhi’s ruthless tactics, the APHC reaffirmed that the Kashmiri people remain steadfast in their struggle. They will never surrender to India’s sinister plans to rewrite their identity and history.
The APHC’s warning paints a grim picture of India’s occupation policies in IIOJK. The repression and demographic engineering reflect a blatant disregard for human rights and international law.
The international community can no longer ignore the atrocities in IIOJK. It must confront India’s actions and support the legitimate demands of the Kashmiri people for freedom and justice.
