India’s Hindutva Rule Exposes the Reality of Unending Repression in Kashmir

A Dark and Dangerous Reality in IIOJK

The situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has become more dangerous and more painful under the BJP government led by Narendra Modi. Since the illegal removal of Articles 370 and 35-A, India has openly tightened its grip on the region. These steps are not meant to improve the lives of Kashmiris but to silence them and control their land. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has clearly stated that Kashmir is facing a planned attack on its people, identity, and economy.

Control over lives: India is interfering in every part of Kashmiri daily life.
Fear as policy: Force and pressure are used instead of dialogue.
Rights denied: Legal and political protections have been taken away.

BJP and RSS Driving Policy in Kashmir

According to APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, the BJP is working closely with the RSS to push its Hindutva ideology in Kashmir. The Indian Army and police are being used to carry out this agenda on the ground. Streets, schools, and markets are under constant watch. This shows that India is ruling Kashmir like a colony, not like a democratic region.

Forces misused: Security agencies enforce political ideas.
Hindutva thinking: Religious extremism guides state actions.
Colonial rule: Kashmir is controlled through power, not consent.

An Occupation That Began Illegally

India’s control over Jammu and Kashmir began on October 27, 1947, when Indian troops entered Srinagar without the consent of the people. Since that day, Kashmir has lived under military control. The APHC rightly calls this a colonial occupation. What Kashmiris face today is not new but a continuation of a long injustice.

Illegal entry: Indian troops arrived without public approval.
Military rule: Guns replaced political solutions.
History ignored: India refuses to accept its past actions.

Changing Demography to Control the Future

The removal of Articles 370 and 35-A on August 5, 2019, destroyed the legal protection of Kashmir’s population. After this move, non-locals were allowed to settle in IIOJK. The APHC has warned that this is a clear plan to turn Kashmiris into a minority in their own land. This is a direct attack on Kashmir’s identity.

Protection removed: Laws protecting locals were scrapped.
Outsiders encouraged: Settlement policy is being pushed.
Identity threatened: Social balance is being disturbed.

Land Seizure Through New Rules

The Land Grant Rules-2022 have made land seizure easier for the Indian government. Kashmiri land is taken and handed over to outsiders and state-backed companies. Many families lose land without proper consent or fair payment. This is not reform or growth but open land grabbing.

Land taken: Property is seized using legal cover.
Locals ignored: Kashmiris are not consulted.
Economic loss: Control of land moves away from locals.

Development Claims Hide the Truth

India claims that roads, buildings, and projects are meant for development. In reality, these projects mainly serve military movement and outsider interests. Kashmiris see little benefit from them. Development without choice and fairness is simply another form of control.

False claims: Development is used as an excuse.
People excluded: Locals gain nothing meaningful.
Control expanded: Infrastructure supports occupation.

Crushing the Kashmiri Economy

Kashmir’s economy is being slowly and deliberately damaged. Local businesses face shutdowns, restrictions, and constant checks. Tourism, trade, and local industries suffer badly. Resources are taken out, but profits do not return to the people.

Businesses suffer: Local traders face losses.
Resources taken: Wealth leaves the region.
Dependence created: Economic weakness is forced.

Silencing Voices Through Arrests

Any Kashmiri who speaks against Indian policies faces arrest or harassment. Journalists, students, and activists are detained under strict laws. Peaceful protest is treated as a crime. This shows how far India has moved away from democratic values.

Free speech blocked: Voices are silenced.
Fear spread: Arrests create pressure.
Democracy absent: Rights exist only on paper.

Ignoring United Nations Resolutions

India continues to ignore United Nations resolutions that give Kashmiris the right to decide their future. Instead of following international law, India uses force. This refusal exposes India’s double standards. Rules are followed only when they suit New Delhi.

UN ignored: Resolutions are dismissed.
Right denied: Self-determination is blocked.
Law broken: International rules are violated.

Controlling the Narrative and Media

India controls information coming out of IIOJK. Journalists face restrictions and monitoring. Selected media tours are used to show a false picture. The real suffering of Kashmiris is hidden from the world.

Media pressure: Independent reporting is limited.
False image: Reality is covered up.
Truth suppressed: Human pain is ignored.

Kashmiri Resistance Still Strong

Despite heavy repression, Kashmiris continue to resist peacefully. The APHC has made it clear that illegal actions will never be accepted. Their struggle is based on justice and international law. Force cannot erase their demand for dignity.

Strong resolve: Kashmiris refuse surrender.
Peaceful struggle: Resistance remains moral.
Hope alive: The demand for rights continues.

Pakistan’s Clear and Moral Position

Pakistan has always stood with the Kashmiri people. It raises the issue at international forums and supports peaceful solutions under UN guidance. Pakistan’s stand is clear and lawful. This approach contrasts sharply with India’s denial and force.

Firm support: Pakistan backs Kashmiris.
Global voice: The issue is raised worldwide.
Moral strength: Pakistan follows international law.

Silence of the World and Its Cost

The APHC has urged the international community to act. Silence only encourages more repression. Powerful states must pressure India to change its course. Ignoring Kashmir will only deepen injustice.

Silence harmful: Inaction helps oppression.
Action needed: Pressure must be applied.
Global duty: Human rights require response.

Hindutva Rule and Kashmir’s Ongoing Pain

What is happening in IIOJK is the result of a planned policy under the BJP-RSS Hindutva system. Land seizure, population change, economic damage, and denial of rights show India’s true intentions. The world must see through India’s false claims. Until India respects UN resolutions and ends repression, Kashmir will remain a symbol of injustice, and Pakistan will continue to stand with the Kashmiri people.
