India’s illegal actions in IIOJK have only escalated violence, with Kashmiris steadfast in their struggle for freedom against oppressive occupation.

The leadership of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and several key parties have expressed their deep concern over India’s illegal actions on 5th August 2019. The unilateral revocation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)’s special status has made an already volatile region even more unstable.

APHC leaders, including prominent figures from Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, and Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, have condemned the actions of India’s ruling RSS-backed BJP. They accuse BJP’s corrupt and communal administration, led by LG Manoj Sinha, of misleading the world with claims of peace returning to Jammu and Kashmir after the revocation.

In reality, the situation has worsened. These leaders, including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Arshad Iqbal, Haseeb Wani, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Shakeel ur Rehman, and Hafza Bano, assert that India has intensified its brutality towards the Kashmiri people. Since 5th August 2019, the Indian government has worked tirelessly to colonize the region, while the brutalization of Kashmiris continues unabated.

Despite India’s harsh militaristic tactics, the resolve of the Kashmiri people remains unbroken. The leaders of APHC and associated parties stress that Kashmiris’ passion for freedom cannot be crushed by military force or colonization efforts. Their struggle for self-determination will continue until its logical conclusion, no matter the obstacles in their path.

The people of IIOJK are calling for international intervention. They have appealed to the United Nations Secretary General, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and global organizations like Amnesty International to step in. The situation has reached a critical point, with Kashmiris fearing for their survival under India’s occupation.

The world must understand the true nature of India’s actions in IIOJK. Far from bringing peace, India’s policies have only caused further suffering and destabilization in the region. The international community must act to prevent further atrocities and ensure that the Kashmiri people’s right to freedom is upheld.
