Indian Tactics via Raids Continue in IIOJK

India’s raids in IIOJK are less about law and more about silencing the struggle for freedom—intimidation in its rawest form.

The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of Indian police launched sweeping raids in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), targeting multiple areas in the Islamabad and Kulgam districts.

District Jail Mattan in Islamabad, along with Sonigam and Chawalgam in Kulgam, were primary focus points of these operations. At the time of writing, the raids continued unabated.

While Indian authorities cover these actions under the guise of law and legal warrants, their underlying intention appears far from legitimate. The rhetoric of a court-issued warrant is a thin veil for repression.

Officials claim these searches are part of an investigation into alleged militant activities. Yet, such justifications fail to mask the calculated harassment of Kashmiris fighting for self-determination.

The timing and scope of these actions reveal their true objective: instilling fear and silencing dissent. Kashmiris advocating for their inalienable rights have long borne the brunt of such oppression.

India’s aggressive maneuvers have become a hallmark of its strategy in IIOJK. These raids are yet another example of the systematic intimidation designed to stifle resistance.

Rather than addressing the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people, the Indian government opts for heavy-handed tactics. This approach only exacerbates tensions and alienates an already oppressed population.

It is critical to recognize the broader context of these actions. The raids are part of a well-documented pattern of state-sponsored repression under the guise of national security.

For the global community, the message is clear: silence is complicity. The plight of the Kashmiri people demands urgent international attention and a robust response to such violations.

This latest crackdown underscores the necessity for vigilance and advocacy against India’s ongoing attempts to suppress Kashmiri voices. Without accountability, such actions will only persist.
