In the month of October, Indian forces escalated their campaign of brutality in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), killing nine innocent Kashmiris. This ongoing violence is a blatant state terrorism by India in IIOJK.

Among the victims, three were murdered in so-called “fake encounters” orchestrated by Indian security personnel. These killings highlight the depths of deception employed by the Indian military.

The aftermath of these murders is devastating. Three women are now widows, and six children have been left orphaned. This tragedy illustrates the human cost of India’s oppressive policies in the region.

During the same period, Indian troops, paramilitary forces, and police conducted 148 cordon and search operations, arresting 169 individuals. These raids are a thinly veiled excuse for further oppression, targeting innocent civilians under the guise of security.

The notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) and State Investigation Agency (SIA) played key roles in these operations. Their actions reflect a systematic effort to instill fear and silence dissent in the region.

This pattern of violence and intimidation is not new. The Indian government has long pursued a strategy of repression in IIOJK, aiming to quash any resistance to its rule. The repeated violations of human rights only serve to deepen the resentment among the local population.

Kashmiris live under constant threat, their lives disrupted by arbitrary arrests and extrajudicial killings. The Indian state’s heavy-handed approach has created an atmosphere of fear and despair.

Each month brings new reports of atrocities, and October was no exception. The cold, calculated tactics employed by Indian forces reveal a shocking disregard for human life and dignity.

This situation demands global attention. The international community must not turn a blind eye to the ongoing suffering in IIOJK. Silence equates complicity, and the time for action is long overdue.

The atrocities committed by Indian troops are a plain reminder of the urgent need for accountability. Those responsible for these crimes must be held to account, or the cycle of violence will continue unabated.

As Kashmiris face this relentless oppression, the world must recognize the importance of standing up for their rights. It’s time to challenge the narrative of state-sponsored terrorism and support the voices of those seeking justice.

The suffering in IIOJK should not be ignored. It is a critical human rights issue that transcends borders. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Only through collective action can we hope to put an end to the suffering of the Kashmiri people and bring about lasting change. The struggle for justice must continue, fueled by the determination to expose the truth behind India’s actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
