Indian forces have intensified their oppressive campaign in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), launching sweeping cordon-and-search operations and house raids in multiple districts. This crackdown underscores the systemic targeting of civilians under the pretext of security.

Personnel from the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and local police unleashed massive crackdowns across 56 areas in Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Doda, and Reasi districts. These operations, often portrayed as anti-terror actions, disproportionately targeted innocent civilians, especially peace and freedom activists, further escalating tensions in the already volatile region.

During the raids, residents endured severe harassment as troops rummaged through their homes. Reports indicate that valuable documents, electronic devices, cash, and even sensitive bank account details were confiscated without justification. Such blatant violations of privacy reflect the occupying forces’ agenda of intimidation and control.

Adding to the distress, the Srinagar-Jammu and Rajouri highways have seen tightened restrictions under the guise of heightened security measures. This increased surveillance and movement control have disrupted daily life and created an atmosphere of fear among the local population.

The aggressive tactics by Indian forces are part of a broader strategy to suppress dissent and crush the spirit of Kashmiri resistance. These so-called security measures reveal India’s unwillingness to engage in meaningful dialogue or respect the basic rights of the Kashmiri people.

Activists and analysts have criticized these actions as yet another attempt to delegitimize the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination. They argue that such measures only deepen the resentment and alienation of the local population, perpetuating the cycle of violence and oppression.

The international community must recognize these crackdowns for what they truly are—a systematic campaign of state-sponsored terror aimed at silencing Kashmiri voices. Global human rights organizations and political leaders are urged to intervene and hold India accountable for its flagrant abuses in IIOJK.

The ongoing situation highlights a grim reality: under India’s militarized occupation, even basic freedoms are trampled upon. This relentless oppression is a clear reminder of the urgent need for global action to uphold justice and human rights in IIOJK.
