Indian Forces Launch Massive Search Operation in IIOJK
January 12, 2025Indian troops conduct a large-scale cordon and search operation near Akhnoor in IIOJK, citing reports of suspicious movement near the LoC.
Indian forces have initiated a large-scale cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Jammu district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The operation commenced near the Akhnoor sector on Saturday, following reports of suspicious movements in the forested areas near the Line of Control (LoC).
According to an Indian police official, locals had reported spotting individuals suspected of unauthorized activity in the vicinity, prompting the deployment of Indian troops for a joint operation in the area.
Despite extensive efforts, the officials confirmed that no trace of the suspected individuals has been found thus far. As of the latest reports, the operation was still underway, with forces continuing their search in the region.
This development reflects the tense security situation in IIOJK, where Indian forces frequently conduct such operations under the pretext of maintaining control over the disputed territory. These actions often lead to increased anxiety among local residents and are widely criticized for disrupting civilian life.
