Heightened tensions grip Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) as massive troop deployments, commandos, drones, and sniffer dogs flood the region amid intensified military operations.

Indian forces have escalated their military presence in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, launching extensive cordon and search operations in Kathua district. Backed by commandos, drones, and sniffer dogs, the crackdown has raised fresh concerns over the heavy militarization of the region

The large-scale operation entered its second consecutive day, with security personnel scouring several areas, including the dense forests of Kathua. Officials confirmed that additional forces were deployed early Monday morning, including specialized units from the Indian army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Special Operations Group (SOG).

According to police sources, the operation was initiated by a Special Operations Group team. Upon entering the area, the personnel encountered intense resistance, coming under heavy gunfire from unidentified attackers. A fierce exchange of fire ensued, lasting more than half an hour, as troops engaged in a close-quarter gunfight.

To strengthen the effort, reinforcements were quickly dispatched, and a large-scale manhunt was launched to track down the assailants. Despite the fierce clash, officials reported no immediate casualties from the initial confrontation.

Security forces maintained a strict cordon around the area throughout the night, ensuring no movement in or out. At dawn on Monday, the forces advanced from multiple directions, tightening their grip on the region and leaving no escape routes for potential suspects.

In a separate development, Indian forces conducted another search operation in the Islamabad district of IIOJK. During the operation, troops claimed to have discovered a weapons cache in a hidden hideout located within the Utrusoo Sungalan forest area. Arms and ammunition were reportedly recovered during the raid.

These continuous operations have once again spotlighted the volatile situation in the occupied territory, as residents face increasing militarization and daily crackdowns. The deployment of drones, sniffer dogs, and elite commandos underscores the Indian forces’ aggressive tactics in the region.
