Indian Forces Escalate CASOs in IIOJK
December 27, 2024Kashmiris endure relentless harassment as Indian forces intensify cordon and search operations, punishing civilians for resisting the illegal occupation.
Indian forces are escalating their brutal tactics in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) with ongoing cordon and search operations (CASOs) across multiple districts. These operations are spreading fear and suffering among the local population, as troops, paramilitary forces, and police personnel invade civilian areas.
The forceful operations are taking place in various districts of IIOJK. Areas like Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, and Udhampur in the Jammu region, and Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, and others in the Kashmir valley, are enduring the worst of these aggressive crackdowns.
During these operations, Indian forces show no regard for human dignity. They enter homes, terrorize families, and vandalize personal belongings. Women, children, and the elderly are not spared from the harassment. The psychological and physical toll on innocent civilians is devastating, as they are subjected to daily violence.
In a cruel twist, the forces often force people to stand outside in the freezing cold for hours, even during the harsh winter. The objective behind these acts is clear: to humiliate the people of IIOJK and punish them for their ongoing resistance to the illegal Indian occupation.
These operations have become a brutal routine, conducted with no accountability or concern for the well-being of the local population. The civilians are treated as nothing more than collateral damage in a larger military strategy aimed at maintaining control over IIOJK.
The constant presence of Indian forces in civilian areas has turned IIOJK into a virtual warzone. The people are subjected to daily terror, forced to endure violence and harassment with no end in sight. The government’s crackdown aims to suppress any dissent and break the will of the Kashmiris who continue to demand their rights and freedom.
The world must recognize that these operations are not about security—they are about subjugating an entire population. These daily humiliations and assaults on Kashmiris are designed to crush their spirit and silence their calls for justice. The international community must stand against these atrocities and hold India accountable for its ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
