Honoring Syed Ali Gilani: A Call for Unity and Continued Kashmiris Resistance

In a recent statement, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas urged Kashmiris to visit Gilani’s grave in Hyderpora, Srinagar, on the third anniversary of his death, September 1. Minhas stressed that this visit should also serve as a pledge to continue the mission of Gilani and other martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement.
He called on people to unite and honor the martyrs by advancing their cause. Demonstrating solidarity is seen as the highest tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the cause.
In Islamabad, APHC leaders Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Muhammad Sultan Butt, and Zahid Ashraf highlighted Gilani’s significant contributions and sacrifices. They affirmed that his legacy would be etched in history.
The leaders also encouraged Kashmiris in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and abroad to organize protest rallies on Gilani’s martyrdom anniversary. These demonstrations aim to draw global attention to the ongoing suffering of Kashmiris under occupation.
