The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and its allies have emphasized that Syed Ali Gilani’s leadership symbolized the ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people. His stance on the Kashmir dispute has become a powerful emblem of resistance.

In a recent statement, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas urged Kashmiris to visit Gilani’s grave in Hyderpora, Srinagar, on the third anniversary of his death, September 1. Minhas stressed that this visit should also serve as a pledge to continue the mission of Gilani and other martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement.

He called on people to unite and honor the martyrs by advancing their cause. Demonstrating solidarity is seen as the highest tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the cause.

In Islamabad, APHC leaders Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Muhammad Sultan Butt, and Zahid Ashraf highlighted Gilani’s significant contributions and sacrifices. They affirmed that his legacy would be etched in history.

The leaders also encouraged Kashmiris in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and abroad to organize protest rallies on Gilani’s martyrdom anniversary. These demonstrations aim to draw global attention to the ongoing suffering of Kashmiris under occupation.

The call for unity and protest underscores the enduring impact of Gilani’s leadership and the continued fight for Kashmiri self-determination. The international community is urged to recognize and address the plight of Kashmiris, amplifying their voices and struggles on the world stage.
