Farooq Abdullah Condemns Disempowerment of Kashmiri by Modi Regime
July 26, 2024National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has accused the Modi-led Indian government of disempowering the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir through unconstitutional and undemocratic means.
Speaking to various delegations in Srinagar, Abdullah stated that the Modi government is determined to undermine the rights of the people in the region. He highlighted that since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, a non-Kashmiri bureaucratic system has been imposed, leading to widespread injustices.
Abdullah pointed out that the Modi government is driving Kashmiris into economic despair, denying them access to essential amenities such as water, electricity, healthcare, education, and roads. He also accused the government of depriving the youth of employment opportunities.
Emphasizing the need for unity and solidarity among Kashmiris, Abdullah urged collective action to face these challenges and resist the ongoing disempowerment efforts.
