DFP Strongly Condemns IIOJK Pogrom by Modi Regime
September 30, 2024The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has issued a strong condemnation of the ongoing violence perpetrated by Indian forces against the Kashmiri population in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
DFP spokesman Advocate Arshad Iqbal expressed serious concerns over recent killings of Kashmiri youth in Kulgam and Kuthwa districts. These incidents challenge the Modi regime’s claims of normalcy in the area.
Iqbal stated that Indian forces have a troubling history of targeting Kashmiri youth through staged encounters. He denounced the continuous bloodshed and targeted killings as unacceptable.
The spokesman emphasized that these extrajudicial executions aim to instill fear and intimidation among the Kashmiri people in IIOJK. He called for the international community to recognize the deteriorating human rights conditions in IIOJK.
Iqbal urged global powers to pressure India to halt its oppressive tactics against the Kashmiri struggle for freedom. He pointed out that India’s actions blatantly violate international laws and norms.
Since January 1989, over 96,347 people have reportedly lost their lives due to actions by Indian forces. The violence in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) serves as a harsh reminder of the suffering endured by Kashmiris for 77 years.
Iqbal stressed that true freedom from Indian occupation is the only solution to alleviate the people’s suffering. He firmly stated that India cannot maintain control through violence and terror.
The DFP’s statement highlights the urgent need for international attention and intervention regarding the human rights violations occurring in IIOJK. It underscores a critical perspective on the ongoing conflict and the plight of the Kashmiri people.
The ongoing violence has far-reaching implications for regional stability and human rights. A concerted international response could provide the necessary pressure to address these issues effectively.
To conclude, the DFP’s condemnation serves as a rallying cry for justice and recognition of the human rights of the Kashmiri people in IIOJK. The need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict remains paramount.
