Civilians Targeted Amidst Search Operation in Bandipora: Kashmir’s Distress
April 25, 2024The civilian populace residing in the vicinity of the Bandipora forest area is being subjected to scrutiny under the guise of a search operation conducted by Indian forces in the Bandipora district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the operation involves the participation of Indian troops, paramilitary forces, and police, resulting in the harassment and torture of civilians residing in forested areas.
On the ‘X’ platform, police indicated that the search operation was initiated following an attack by unidentified individuals on the troops in the Renji forest area of Aragam within the district. Subsequently, the area was cordoned off, and a search operation commenced, which was ongoing at the time of reporting.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that helicopters have been deployed, and additional forces have been mobilized to the area.
