
APHC remebers Jalil Andrabi 29th martyrdom anniversary
March 28, 2025Srinagar – The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has paid rich tributes to Shaheed Advocate Jaleel Andrabi, Shaheed Ishfaq Majeed Wani, Shaheed Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, and Shaheed Shabir Sidiqi for their sacrifices in the struggle for Kashmir’s freedom from Indian illegal occupation.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, commemorated the 29th martyrdom anniversary of noted Kashmiri human rights activist Advocate Jaleel Andrabi. Minhas emphasized that sacrifices made by towering figures like Andrabi have played a crucial role in bringing the Kashmir dispute to global attention.
Jaleel Andrabi was abducted by Indian Army personnel led by Major Avtar Singh on March 8, 1996. Three weeks later, on March 27, his lifeless body was discovered floating in the Jhelum River, bearing signs of torture.
The APHC reiterated its commitment to continue the struggle of Kashmiri martyrs until their mission is achieved. The organization urged the international community to take notice of the ongoing human rights violations in the region and support the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The observance of these anniversaries serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made in the pursuit of justice and self-determination, strengthening the resolve of Kashmiris to continue their resistance against oppression.
