In a strong show of support for the Kashmiri struggle, Pakistan’s top military leader has reignited hope with a resolute message that Kashmir is non-negotiable.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has hailed the recent statement by Pakistan’s Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir regarding the Kashmir dispute. According to APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, the declaration has given renewed strength and hope to the Kashmiri people, reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to their cause.

General Asim Munir made it clear that Pakistan will never compromise on Kashmir. He emphasized that Kashmir cannot be forgotten, and warned that any attempt at monopoly by India, especially over water resources, crosses Pakistan’s red line. Safi described this stance as a powerful reassurance for Kashmiris who have endured decades of suffering and sacrifice.

Highlighting historical context, Safi recalled that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah once called Kashmir the “jugular vein” of Pakistan. He said General Munir’s recent message strongly upholds this view, reflecting Pakistan’s revolutionary and unwavering principles.

Safi stressed that this firm position by the Pakistani military is not only a morale booster for the freedom fighters in Kashmir but also a bold statement to the world. It signals that Pakistan remains steadfast in its support for the right of Kashmiris to self-determination, as outlined in UN resolutions.

He further pointed out that the declaration of a “red line” on water underscores how deeply the Kashmir issue ties into Pakistan’s national security and future. According to him, India’s aggressive control over water resources is not just a geopolitical concern, but a direct threat to Pakistan’s survival.

Reaffirming the movement’s commitment, Safi stated that the Kashmiri struggle will continue in line with international laws and United Nations resolutions. He criticized the global silence on Indian actions in the region, calling it a troubling reflection on the international community’s conscience.

The APHC-AJK leader urged the United Nations, human rights organizations, and democratic nations to take a firm stand on Kashmir. He emphasized that ignoring India’s human rights violations raises serious questions about global justice and accountability.

Safi also reaffirmed that the Kashmiri freedom movement is based on truth and justice. He praised the sacrifices made by martyrs, political prisoners, and freedom fighters, asserting that no amount of repression can crush their will.

He concluded by thanking Pakistan’s military and political leadership for their consistent moral, diplomatic, and political support, expressing hope that this backing will continue until the Kashmiris achieve their legitimate rights.

Other APHC-AJK leaders—including Advocate Pervez Ahmad Shah, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, and Ms. Shamim Shawl—also expressed their appreciation for General Asim Munir’s principled stance on Kashmir.
