AJK President Calls on Diaspora to Expose India’s Atrocities in IIOJK
November 19, 2024 Off By Sharp MediaBarrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), urged Kashmiris abroad, particularly in South Africa, to bring global attention to India’s ongoing atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
During a meeting with Haq Nawaz, President of the Kashmir Society, South Africa, Chaudhry condemned India’s actions since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019. He described the situation as one of the worst forms of oppression.
Chaudhry emphasized that the Kashmiri people are living under constant lockdown, unable to leave their homes or move freely, while facing unrelenting military control. “Kashmiris are prisoners in their own land,” he said.
He further highlighted the brutal tactics used by India, including the martyrdom of Kashmiri youth in fake encounters and arbitrary arrests based on fabricated charges. These actions are part of India’s broader campaign to crush Kashmiri resistance.
The AJK President called on the Kashmiri diaspora worldwide to raise their voices, exposing India’s brutalities to the international community. He stressed the need for a unified, global movement to hold India accountable.
Chaudhry also pointed to India’s involvement in international terrorism, citing the recent revelation by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Trudeau accused India of being behind the murder of Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Najjar, further tarnishing India’s global image.
He urged Kashmiris, especially those in South Africa, to use their platforms to reveal India’s true face. The global community must understand the magnitude of India’s crimes in IIOJK, Chaudhry stressed.
