A Welcoming Gesture Extended for Hindu Yatris

Hindu yatris have successfully completed their 7-day visit to Pakistan and are now heading back to India through the Wagah border. Their visit was marked by tight security, ensuring their safety throughout the journey.
The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) played a key role in ensuring a smooth experience, with Saifullah Khokhar, the Additional Secretary of the ETPB, bidding farewell to the yatris on behalf of Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Chairman Syed Atta-ur-Rehman. Khokhar presented gifts and flowers as a gesture of goodwill, wishing the yatris well on their journey.
Before leaving, Yatri leader Vijay Kumar Sharma expressed sincere gratitude for the warmth and respect shown by the people of Pakistan during their stay. He specifically thanked Syed Atta-ur-Rehman for his hospitality, noting that the experience left them feeling deeply respected. Sharma also encouraged the global Hindu community to visit Pakistan and explore its religious landmarks, highlighting the positive atmosphere they encountered.
Yuvakar Pandey, another member of the delegation, shared his appreciation for the improvements made at the Katas Raj Temple, where new residential complexes had enhanced the beauty of the site. He praised the facilities provided to the yatris, noting that the upgraded services had made their visit more comfortable and enjoyable.
Many other yatris also took the opportunity to express their gratitude. They spoke highly of the beauty of Lahore, noting that the city’s peaceful ambiance added to the serenity they felt during their visit to the religious shrines in Katas Raj and Lahore. Their words were filled with appreciation for the hospitality of the Government of Pakistan and the ETPB, underscoring the positive impact of their trip.
Khukhar, in his farewell speech, emphasized that the Evacuee Trust Property Board is committed to promoting religious tourism and providing top-notch hospitality to visitors. He expressed confidence that Pakistan would continue to support religious diversity, ensuring that future yatris have an equally welcoming experience.
